As I got older I started to get training to be an engineer. The training was long and tedious every day, always doing maths, and working with electronics which constantly gave me burns on my hands. I had just started my new job as an electrical and mechanical engineer before the war, it was good while it lasted as I was able to gain some more experience in the field of engineering and even find a woman to love. During the war there wasn't much I could hope for but to survive it all with my wife, sadly she was killed in a skirmish between the combine forces and the earth military in the city. I never had time to mourn as there were multiple cycles of city transfers. After the seven hour war I was transferred through a few cities, such as city 4, city 9 and now (industrial) city 17. I did the jobs I was told to do, hearing news about rebellions in each city from passers by. Never payed much attention to the beatings the Combine gave out, doesn't mean I don't have the stomach for it, I do, it's just that some people that stared were brought in on the punishment. During thos moments I thought that it would be better to join the CCA than to be on the recieving end of a stunstick hit. I now had time to mourn each day fter work in my apartment, but it was no use as I had already seen to much and forgotten what her face looked like, just like I forgot what my friends and family looked like.
